Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Injection Molding Machine Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Management, Supervision and Training of Machine Operators, Production Technicians, Quality Inspectors, etc. for Injection Molding Machining Processes.
- Coordinate with Production Managers to ensure all Production Requirements and Goals are met and delivered within Project Timelines.
- Works with Warehouse and Production Management to ensure On-Time Delivery.
- Works with QM to complete Quality requirements and ensure conformance / compliance.
- Understand resource-needs and production demand to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to delivering customer orders.
- Entered and Maintain accurate information in the MRP system.
- Ensure all supervisors and operators are fully trained to perform all tasks necessary in the manufacturing process.
- Ensure that all personnel are performing to meet production quality standards.
- Provide formal and informal performance feedback to all team members to foster continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5 - 7 Years of Experience w/ Injection Molding Processes
- Bachelor of Science / Arts Degree (Preferred, Not Required)
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Compute, Interpersonal, Team Building, Personal Development Skills
- Mechanicaly-Inclined and Lean Manufacturing Understanding
