Injection Molding Machine Operator jobs in New London, CT
Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Injection Molding Machine Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Description
Westaff is Looking for a 3rd Shift Machine Operator for a Company in Deep River, CT!
Shift : 11 : 30PM to 8 : 00AM, M-F
Training Shift : Will have to train on 1st shift for 2 weeks, 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm.
Pay Rate : $20.84 / hr
Machine Operator Responsibilities
- Start and operate Magnetic Drilling (BDS) machines, RST machines & auxiliary equipment as needed
- Inspect product and make adjustments to machines as needed
- Adjust machines to ensure they are meeting quality and production standards
- Keep production floor clean of tails, moils, pellets, bottles, and any material i.e. regrind etc
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Machine Operator Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand the entire shift
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to climb ladders
Machine Operator Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing experience (required)
- Prior Machine Operating experience (preferred)
