Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Injection Molding Machine Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Cooper Standard in East Tawas, MI has immediate full time Injection Mold Operators openings on 2nd shift. Starting wage on 2nd shift is $14.75 hrly.
Position Summary:

Primary Responsibilities:
Operate injection mold machines while efficiently producing a quality product in a safe manner.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Keeps plant workplace neat and clean
Perform visual and gauged checks to ensure a quality product is produced/shipped.
Follow operator work instructions.
Stand for 8-12 hours in steel toed shoes.
Work well with others in a team environment.
Be flexible with overtime.
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Education equivalent options available.
Prior manufacturing experience is a desired but not required.
Must pass all pre-employment screenings, have good attendance and a reliable means to get to work.
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
Work environment and physical requirements are typical of the conditions on a manufacturing floor.
Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor.
Occasional exposure to fumes/dust
