Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Injection Molding Machine Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Description:- Run/operate CNC Mills, conventional machines, and other manufacturing machinery.
- Inspect parts and make machine adjustments as instructed to achieve production requirements.
- Receive training at the Tooling department.
- Inspect and measure finished product to ensure proper completion of process. Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Read and follow work orders, schematics, blueprints. Perform basic troubleshooting on machines
- May operate punch press, mills/lathes, conventional manufacturing machines.
- Provide support to other areas of the production processes
- Entry Level Machinists are welcome to apply!
Requirements:- At least 2 years of machine operator experience.
- Experience with Mills is Preferred
- Able to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Must be able to read and follow written instructions (blueprints, work orders, travelers, schematics)
- Must have reliable transportation
