Summary

Role Overview: As an Injection Molding Machine Operator, you'll be at the heart of our production operations, driving excellence on Bag Making Machines. From monitoring machine workflow to ensuring top-notch quality control, your role will be diverse and impactful. Get ready to dive into reading engineering drawings, making mechanical and computerized adjustments, and switching out tools like a pro.

Shifts Available:

• 2nd Shift: 2:00p - 10:30p

• 3rd Shift: 10:00p - 6:30a

Training:

• Embark on a thrilling 90-day training adventure on the first shift, where you'll master the ins and outs of our operations. Upon conquering this phase, you'll be primed for action on the shift that matches your stellar performance.

* 1st shift hours are 6am - 230pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup: Prepare the injection molding machine for production runs by setting parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle times according to product specifications.
• Material Handling: Load raw materials into the machine's hopper and ensure the proper blending or mixing of materials if required.
• Operation Monitoring: Operate the injection molding machine, monitoring its performance and adjusting settings as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, including dimensions, appearance, and functionality.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with the injection molding process, such as machine malfunctions, material inconsistencies, or product defects.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the injection molding machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, quality inspections, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience as an injection molding machine operator or in a related manufacturing role is often preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of injection molding processes, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously inspect products for quality and detect any deviations from specifications.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify and address issues that arise during production, such as equipment malfunctions or material inconsistencies.
• Communication: Clear communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors, report issues, and document production activities.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent education is typically required. Additional technical training or certification in injection molding may be beneficial.
