Position: Director of Training

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Collaborate with leadership, stakeholders, clients, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to evaluate learning activities, gauge effectiveness, and identify the impact on the overall learning portfolio.
• Manage training team, run weekly team meeting, and conduct individual quarterly coaching.
• Develop reporting mechanisms to track effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide expertise, training, and information in a manner that supports and promotes organizational culture.
• Plan and manage annual training timelines, invitations, and registrations in coordination with marketing, training, and subject matter experts.
• Manage training events and sessions and oversee training material creation and distribution.
• Attend, moderate, and facilitate training sessions and assess organization wide trainings to identify skills or knowledge gaps.
• Manage and assign trainers to conduct various training programs that enrich and engage learners, ensure training content is delivered effectively, and meets desired organizational goals.
• Recommend and present enrichment and engagement activities during training events and sessions.
• Create and maintain training budget, monitor expenses, negotiate with external venues and vendors, and seek cost-effective training solutions.
• Recommend, review, and sign training contracts to include venue space, food and beverage, audiovisual, event vendors, and external online training clients.
• Evaluate and provide quarterly training reports and evaluations to validate program return on investment through data analysis.
• Serve as Spark Training’s 30(b)(6) witness.
• Communicate with professionalism via written, verbal, and non-verbal modalities.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date strategic planning manual with continuity BUS plan and goals.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.
