Inservice Training Director directs the overall design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Establishes a skill assessment process to collect input and identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Inservice Training Director consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Ensures curricula designs support defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Inservice Training Director develops standards and methodology to prepare high-quality outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Oversees and approves the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes the appropriate metrics to use for the evaluation of training effectiveness. Analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs and budgets. Evaluates and selects vendors to provide support, training materials, or to conduct training sessions. The Director of Finance is responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities. This role presents to the board finance and audit committees and is a member of and works closely with the senior leadership team. This position leads day to day finance operations and supervises 2 accounting staff.
> Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
> Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs and program budgets and actual expenditures. Coordinate all audit activity.
> Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership aware of SEAT Center's financial status.
> Provide leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process, administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain and correct variances as appropriate.
> Engage the boards audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
> Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting, ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period, collate financial reporting materials for government, corporate and foundation grants.
> Manage organizational cashflow forecasting by working in partnership with the program directors.
> Help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement finance training in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.

Education/Experience
> Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance preferred, associates degree with seven (7) years relevant work experience will be considered.
> Working knowledge of accounting/GL system -preferably Quick Books online version.
> Solid work experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis accounts payable and receivable, general ledger payroll and cash management.
> A positive track record as it relates to compliance and reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants is essential.
> Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training and retaining a diverse team, the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly.
> Position requires keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation vs simple reporting.
> Proficient use of computers with related knowledge of software programs as related to position including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn/navigate other applicants.
> Position must have a current and valid NYS Driver's License.
Note: This is not an entry-level position. Previous experience in a senior finance role is required.
