Inside Sales Manager oversees the activities of sales representatives with an assigned territory or portfolio of existing customers that primarily conduct remote sales calls. Coordinates closely with marketing and field sales to gather insights and understand customers' unique needs, market conditions, and competitors. Being an Inside Sales Manager develops sales strategies and supporting activities, including renewals, special offers, and discounts. Provides appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling, and achieve sales targets. Additionally, Inside Sales Manager trains and coaches staff in selling and relationship-building skills needed to grow and maintain sales pipelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Inside Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Inside Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Mission of Account Manager- Inside Sales

    Account Development


    Grow revenue and develop growth strategies to execute on key business initiatives to deliver and/or exceed your annual sales plan.


    • Effectively manage an account base of Tier 3 and 4 accounts with heavy emphasis on outbound calling, to deliver your annual sales plan.
    • Identify and develop key strategies to focus growth towards most profitable products and opportunities.
    • Expand our market penetration of specialty products and execute on key strategies to achieve, at minimum, 35% of your individual overall revenue coming from our specialty products.
    • Identify and support our distribution partners on new business opportunities and effectively manage the opportunity to position our distribution partner for success.
    • Execute and support our marketing department by effectively launching and communicating new product launches, promotional incentives and/or sales collaterals to our distribution partners.
    • Provide world-class service and support to our customers by responding respectively and promptly to all requests.


    Pricing Management


    Maximize revenue potential and profitability by effectively managing our custom pricing and price deviation requests. Generate an annual savings of $75K/year.


    • Manage all custom product pricing, including Xerox Domestic and Europe.
    • Approve all price deviation requests that are less than 68%.
    • Review and approve all monthly expiring quotes.
    • Develop a bid management process to review each quote and determine if there is an opportunity to reduce the discount percentage to maximize profitability.


    Sales Support Initiatives


    Support the sales organization and participate in identifying and implementing efficiency opportunities that will improve our overall sales effectiveness.


    • Provide back-up account support to our Business Development Managers.
    • Participate in market blitz opportunities, trade shows, open houses and/or any other market support initiatives to help gain market share in other territories.
    • Identify new business opportunities for existing partnerships, in all regions, that could obtain new business and/or establish a new distribution channel.
    • Organize and lead internal calling blitz initiatives to support our distribution partners in obtaining new business opportunities.
    • Collectively work with other departments to identify and implement sales efficiencies in areas of concern to enhance our ability to continue to provide unsurpassed value and service to our customers.
    • Travel maybe required up to 35% of the time.

    Education and/or Experience

    • This is job that requires a college degree and relevant work experience. A bachelor’s in a related field is preferred or an associate’s degree in combination with more years of experience will be considered.
    • A minimum of three years of experience in a related field is required. This experience should be relevant to the position you are applying
    • Experience with CRM systems (Customer Relationship Management) software programs used to manage customer interactions is required.
    • Ideal candidate will have experience working with distributors and experience in the paper industry
