Position Description:
The PC Account Manager is an individual contributor, responsible for selling products in a specified region or major geographical area/market which includes specific customer accounts to achieve gross profit and sales targets. This role will grow an assigned account territory above base sales activity in order to maximize revenue from assigned accounts and will also reactivate assigned accounts and will also prospect for new business to grow assigned territory. The PC AM has an individual Gross Profit (GP) and Revenue (TL) plans and related MBOs or goals. The role requires sustained customer/manufacturer partner contact and relationships. PC AM engages with various McKesson specialists that support a segment or specific product category including LAB, Rx, McKesson Brands, and Corporate Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Financials:
Achieve Gross Profit and Revenue goals and related MBO targets (set monthly/annually). This is accomplished through the actions outlined below.
Account Penetration:
Grow existing customer base through sales efforts focused on product penetration/ growing share of wallet. Utilize MBA process to produce, review to identify opportunities to grow acct. penetration opportunities, and act upon MBA Business Reviews for top customers annually.
New Accounts:
Target and acquire net new customers
Territory Management:
Create & keep current annual territory sales plans, & report results during 1:1 check ins.
Regularly utilize available sales technology (SFDC, Sales Analytics tools, MBA, etc.) to better understand opportunities, collaborate effectively within McKesson, and improve results. Assist customers in navigating McKesson tools and processes to ensure satisfaction & retention.
Collaboration & Engagement:
Collaborate with McKesson Sales Specialists (to increase current customer purchases and acquire net new customers). Primary engagement contact is by phone and virtual meetings. Rep to utilize data & analytics to inform sales opportunity selection.
Minimum Requirements:
2 years of relevant experience
Critical Skills:
2 years business experience in an Inside Sales environment with focus on B2B sales and/or medical sales
Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Aggressive self-starter with a passion for sales and the demonstrated ability to present ideas, gain acceptance and build strong relationships
Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation with the ability to work comfortably within all levels of the organization
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Prior sales experience in medical, lab, B2B, or distribution is a plus.
Strong sales drive and proven ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
Experience selling a large product line / large number of SKUs is a plus.
Experience positioning/ selling value propositions and technology solutions.
Experience managing territory profitability.
Experience collaborating with sales specialists/ team selling
Proficiency with using a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce)
Proficiency with sales analytics
Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook
Experience presenting to c-suite
Physical Requirements:
Large percent of time performing computer based working an office environment
Working Conditions: Traditional office environment or Home Office
