Inside Sales Representative is responsible for an assigned territory or portfolio of customers to target for remote sales development calls. Coordinates with field sales team members to understand customers' unique needs and potential sales opportunities. Being an Inside Sales Representative reaches out to customers to promote new and existing products and services, offer special discounts and promotions, or provide essential account management services. Selects appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling, and achieve sales targets. Additionally, Inside Sales Representative develops connections with customers and may conduct field visits. May participate in sales efforts as part of a larger team. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Inside Sales Representative work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Job Summary:

    The Inside Sales Representative is a highly organized, technically competent individual that will interface with customers, both directly and indirectly, to help achieve company sales targets. The Inside Sales Representative presents a positive and professional image of Everlasting Valve Company in all business interactions. The Inside Sales Representative assists with the development of company processes and plays a critical role in customer and product development for industrial valves. The ideal candidate has a proactive, rather than reactive, mindset.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work in a self-directed, organized manner
    • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
    • Ability to show flexibility in response to change and accommodate new methods and procedures
    • Ability to identify customer needs and communicate them effectively to appropriate departments
    • Ability to understand and prepare instructions while paying close attention to details
    • Discipline and ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Intermediate Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
    • Proven analytical, problem solving, persuasion and negotiating techniques, including understanding terms and conditions of sales

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Actively participe in the growth of the valve business
    • Contribute to the existing and new business strategy by understanding customer requirements, market trends and product life cycle from introduction through fulfillment
    • Manage and complete customer quote requests, providing technically accurate proposals
    • Deliver excellent customer service throughout the sales process
    • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers
    • Provide effective solutions to customers’ questions and problems
    • Preparation of shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, etc.), especially for overseas orders requiring more extensive paperwork, and ensuring all needs are met to allow for smooth shipment of orders

    Educational & Experience Qualifications:

    • Minimum 4-Year (Bachelor’s) Degree
    • Minimum of 5 years of commercial sales work experience, preferably within industrial equipment markets

    Working Conditions:

    • The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • The person in this position frequently communicates with colleagues, customers, and vendors, and must be able to exchange accurate information
