GT Midwest, an Industrial supply company seeking an inside sales representative.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in industrial sales and a willingness to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
Excellent communication skills are a must, along with proficiency in MS Office. Spanish speaking skills are helpful. The sales representative will work out of our Kansas City facility. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.

• Superb interpersonal relation skill set with a passion for customer service
• Process customer orders, responding to inquiries, developing quotes and maintaining parts; up-selling,
suggestive selling, volume selling in anticipation of customer needs
• Communicate with customers regularly throughout the sales cycle and more broadly to ensure their needs
are being met
• Provide support to customers on building sales forecasts, delivery status, order fulfillment and expediting
• Must have the ability to perform outside sales functions as well as warehouse/operations when necessary to ensure business objectives are met
• Provide feedback to outside sales and leadership on customer service satisfaction issues
• Exceptional time management skills are necessary in this fast-paced, high-demand environment
• Works closely with Outside Sales to enter orders and support customers’ needs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates should have 2 or more years in a customer service rep OR supply chain buyer capacity
with 1-2 years of experience with industrial /fastener (nonmilitary / non OEM) products.
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and build upon relationships with vendors and
manufacturers. Requires advanced written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from management and customers via oral presentations and
written documentation. Bilingual when necessary.
Computer Skills
Expeditors regularly use Microsoft Office products, GT’s ERP system, and a CRM system.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Expeditors must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. These skills are necessary in many aspects of the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to lift up to 60 pounds. The employee
frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit, for extended periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Very high energy, sometimes stressful or demanding deadlines and deliverables. This position is faced with
constant interruptions and phone calls.
