Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. HOURS
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch break. After 1 year in office training period, hybrid, and rotating flex Friday schedule available. Opportunities for overtime based on business needs.
JOB TASKS
SERVICES EXISTING ACCOUNTS by communicating with customers daily in a prompt and courteous manner; building and maintaining strong, lasting customer relationships by collaborating to understand their needs and address concerns; processing orders; updating Order Status Reports; making periodic customer visits with the Account Managers; participating in customer meetings.
SUPPORTS OPERATIONS by advising Scheduling of customers’ requests; coordinating rewinding with Finishing Supervisor; verifying accuracy of finished goods and work-in-process inventories.
EXPEDITES CLEARANCE AND SHIPMENTS by coordinating shipments with the Shipping Department, communicating with customs brokers.
RESOLVES CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
COMPLETES AND MAINTAINS RECORDS by inputting data, filing documents.
MAINTAINS CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS by gathering data required from new customers, inputting data and forwarding data to appropriate departments.
MAINTAINS TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE by participating in training and continued education when appropriate.
CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT by backing up other inside sales/sales personnel; collaborating with other departments regarding customer requirements/concerns to ensure customer satisfaction; performing general housekeeping duties; accomplishing related results as needed.
