Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     OVERVIEW:
    A global electronic parts manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented Sales and Office Administrator to join their start-up U.S. sales office in Davis, CA. In this start-up environment, you will assist with overall business support, not just in sales/marketing administration but also in setting up the office and other related tasks, with flexibility. Interest and willingness to learn about electrical products is required.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
    Assist the manager with sales activities, including quoting, email marketing, and inventory control.
    Act as a liaison between customers and report any irregular issues or problems to the manager for resolution.
    Keep management informed with up-to-date customer information.
    Manage incoming calls, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.
    Order office supplies as needed.
    Provide clerical and administrative support to the manager.
    Maintain various documents as instructed by the manager.
    Acquire product knowledge and stay informed about market trends.
    Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency.
    Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    Undertake special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by the manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1 year of office administration and/or B2B sales-related experience required.
    Interest and willingness to learn about electrical products.
    Quick learner in terms of system and software utilization, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Bilingual Japanese skills are a plus but not required.
