Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Rep for our Oxnard Branch. This position contacts current and potential customers to grow prospects and sales. $22.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE.

    Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables

    • Receives and writes orders from customers over the phone providing pricing, product and delivery information
    • Services customers at the walk in counter who may need information or product
    • Fields phone and in-person inquiries providing pricing/quotes from established price books/lists and product information
    • Coordinates orders with yard personnel
    • Assists customers with problems
    • Communicates order information and status to appropriate Account Managers for their customers
    • Participates in physical inventories
    • Maintain on-going product knowledge
    • Perform other work related duties as assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during the course of employment

     

    Qualifications


    Experience and Skills

    • Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited academic institution or equal industry experience
    • Ability to model the Capital values

    Abilities

    • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds 5% or less of the workday
    • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
    • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday
    • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday
