Installation & Maintenance Technician Director directs the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Director leads all functions and ensures they are completed on time and within budget. Oversees the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Building Automation Installation Technician

    Building Automation Installation Technician position is responsible for implementation of quality building automation control practices utilizing technical proficiency developed through formal training, experience, and execution of assigned tasks. Adherence to company standards with dedication to performance, quality, punctuality, and customer satisfaction are required.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Assemble temperature control panels.
    • Installation of HVAC temperature controls to include:
      • Control Panels
      • Control Wiring
      • Control Devices
      • Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT)
    • Manage materials necessary to complete assigned projects.
    • Proficiency with electrical principals and safety in high and low voltage applications
    • Maintain accurate system installation checkout and as built documentation.
    • Assist the onsite project lead for systems checkout, commissioning, and closeout.
    • Basic knowledge of information technology networking
    • Provide basic assessment of project status and report progress to the team.
    • Develop and maintain positive co-worker and customer relationships.
    • Be involved in the team effort of constant process evaluation and improvement.
    • Be scheduled for on-call rotation for after-hours service calls.

    Experience/Education Requirements:

    • 2 year Associate Degree (HVAC/Mechanical or Electrical) or 1 year Technical Diploma (HVAC/Mechanical or electrical) or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience with HVAC Temperature Controls installation, preferred.
    • Experience with Distech Controls, preferred.

    • Basic verbal and written Communication skills
    • Basic knowledge of electrical and construction safety practices and requirements
    • Information Technology (networking)

    • Must be capable of safely driving an automobile.
    • Must be capable of lifting and transporting required tools, ladders, laptop, materials as necessary.
    • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in plant and/or customer environments. PPE required when in the plant, yard, customer, or construction areas include:
      • Hard Hat
      • Safety Glasses / Goggles
      • Steel-toed Boots
      • High Visibility Vest
      • Hearing Protection (designated areas)
      • Gloves
      • Personal Fall Arrest Harness
