Installation & Maintenance Technician Director jobs in Oregon

We are a custom home technology company specializing in high end Audio/Video, Lighting, Shades, and Smart Home control systems looking to add 2x install technicians to our growing team.

Job Details

• Our office is located in Beaverton, OR off Route 217 and Hall Blvd
• Workdays are 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday
• Some jobs will occasionally require overtime and/or out of town overnight work with company provided accommodations and per diem
• Requires working in a variety of work environments from new construction to finished occupied homes
• Salary of $27.50/hr and higher depending on experience and qualifications

Basic Requirements

• Reliable work ethic and the ability to work effectively both as part of a crew and unsupervised if needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Attention to detail and following through on all parts of an assigned task
• Proficient in use of basic technology such as email, apps and smart phones/iPads
• Proficient in the use power tools, hand tools, and ladders
• Experience with some type of installation work, specifically in finished homes where extra care was required to prevent damage to materials
• Proficient in the accurate measuring, leveling and installation of materials mounted to walls and ceilings
• Able to work in tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces as needed

Preferred Skills
*Not required for consideration, but will increase desirability. We are willing to train the right candidate who has the drive and desire to learn.

• Experience working on new/remodel residential construction sites
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

Understanding of

• audio/video equipment and signal flow
• networking equipment and signal flow
• general low voltage signal flow and troubleshooting
• termination and management of low voltage wiring such as CAT6

Familiarity with

• Lutron lighting and shade systems
• LED tape lighting
• the basics of high voltage wiring and materials. Purely as reference knowledge. We do not do high voltage work, but an understanding of it is a big part of the lighting products we provide and the low voltage lighting parts we install.

Experience with the installation of

• wall mounted TVs
• in-ceiling/in-wall speakers
• IP security cameras
• wireless access points

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
