Installation & Maintenance Technician, Sr. installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Documents and verifies equipment problems and repairs. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician, Sr. requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. **Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
**
· Executes implementation plans and schedules to apply predictive maintenance techniques at our factory sites.
· Collects route based vibration data.
· Performs infrared surveys (mechanical and electrical).
· Performs air and gas leak surveys.
· Communicates findings to site management.
· Works with Site Managers and Planners to execute and improve the reliability maintenance program.
· Gathers data and information for the creation of professional reports.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
· Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environment and predictive maintenance activities.
· Understanding of machine diagnostics and complex operating systems; ability to understand and use reference materials (manuals, schematics, etc.); knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data analysis.
Desirable KSAs:
· Ability to apply mathematical concepts and statistical analysis.
· Working toward Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Level I certification in Ultrasound, Thermo/Infrared and Vibration.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
