Position Summary:

The Landscape Tech performs a variety of landscape activities, including, mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, digging, spreading topsoil and other materials, all under general supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year commercial lawn maintenance and/or landscaping experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
• Understanding of materials, tools, equipment, and procedures used in the landscape maintenance and installation processes
• Must be able to operate a commercial lawn mower
• Ability and willingness to work under seasonal work demands.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime hours when needed
• Able to continuously lift and carry 50 lbs or more
• Pesticide applicator license a plus!
• Class B CDL license a plus!

Position Duties and Functions:

• Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, lawn edging, weed pulling, and other activities.
• Perform seasonal duties, including spring and fall clean-ups.
• Assist with preparing job sites - loading equipment and materials on and off trucks and trailers.
• Haul or spread topsoil, gravel, sand, and mulch
• Report any unusual pest, weed, or other problems to the Foreman
• Hand-finish grades and apply seed, straw, or sod, as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the worksite and equipment.
• Maintain assigned equipment and immediately report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment and/or any safety concerns to the Foreman
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
