Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor supervises the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor schedules and coordinates installation support and service operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs.     • Serve as a senior leader within the Operations and Maintenance Division.
    • Work under the direction of the Division Chief who provides oral and written instructions and relies on the incumbent to direct the accomplishment of assigned work operations within the limits of established policies and basic production schedules.

    • Direct a variety of related work operations or functions in several units through multiple levels of supervision.
    • Manage through subordinate supervisors three branches of Operations and Maintenance Division: Land Maintenance, General Support, Custodial.

    • May be required to wear escape respiratory protection.
    • This position requires participation in the Medical Surveillance Program to include passing a physical examination prior to appointment and annually thereafter.
    • The duties of this position require the incumbent to work scheduled, unscheduled and emergency overtime.
    • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster).
    • The incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

    Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) General Maintenance Supervisor~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex General Maintenance Supervisor duties. I am skilled in 1) identifying electrical problems through visual check and/or basic testing equipment; 2) repairing of walls, bricks, bathroom tiles, walks, catch basins, manholes and other finishing work; AND 3) operating various types of landscaping equipment such as mowers, tractors, tree removal equipment, leaf blowers, weed whackers, chain saws, chippers, and stump grinders. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
