    Title: Part-time Institutional Research Assistant

    Department: Institutional Research

    Campus: Queens

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in gathering and coordinating data to complete external surveys for publications with members of the university community.

    • Preparation and dissemination of reports and data requests and presentations as needed.

    • Support in maintaining Institutional Research’s website; upload reports and documents as necessary.

    • Assist with our front desk including answering the phone/taking messages and other necessary tasks that help the office run smoothly.

    • Filing, scanning, and other office duties as assigned.

    • Support University-wide initiatives in the maintenance of the Integrity of University Data.

    • Perform related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience

    • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative office (or equivalent)

    • A high degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

    • Must have great attention to detail; good organizational skills; verbal and written communication skills; ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously and strong follow-through skills.

    • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a plus.

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Work Schedule: approximately 20 hours a week


    In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly salary for this position is $22.00/hr.     This position may be relocated to any of St. John’s University’s physical locations at any time.
