Maintain knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) pertaining to environmental, safety, and maintenance issues relating to each laboratory. 2. Has ability to operate all environmental equipment while observing safety procedures of equipment. 3. Maintains maintenance of equipment used for environmental purposes. Notifies supervisor if equipment needs to be sent out for repair. 4. Cleans, disinfects, and treats floor, ceilings, windows, vents, counter tops, and wall surfaces. 5. Knowledgeable in area of chemical spillage and treatment of surfaces. 6. Responsible for inventory and ordering of environmental supplies for assigned areas. 7. Performs special projects that involves moving and relocating furniture, stripping and waxing floors. 8. Performs other duties as instructed or assigned.
