      The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students – public, charter, and home-schooled – and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

      EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.

      Applications are being accepted for the position of Instructional Specialist (2023/2024 School Year) with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The beginning salary range for this position is approximately $52,800-$70,000 competitive salary based on education and like experience. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

      Job Summary:
      Under the supervision of the Associate Chief Academic Officer, the Instructional Specialist will work to support teaching and learning for their assigned program areas. The primary focus will be in supporting and training teachers in the effective planning of lessons, interventions, and instructional strategies. The instructional Specialist will plan and deliver professional development opportunities as guided by the administration, coordinate the new teacher mentor program, and help to ensure the fidelity of the program implementation and compliance with state and district requirements.



      Minimum Qualifications:
      • Bachelor’s degree in curriculum & instruction, education, or related field.
      • Teaching certificate in any secondary area
      • Previous experience as an instructional coach or specialist. (Preferred)
      • Minimum 3 years classroom teaching in the area related to the program areas to be assigned.
      • Must hold a valid DPS, IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
      • Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
