Our growing company is searching for a highly skilled Controller who will play a pivotal role in the financial landscape of our organization. You will be a results-oriented, self-starter, who leads a team of dedicated accounting professionals driving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of accounting operations and financial reporting.
In this critical leadership role, you will be working with the CFO as an integral figure to our company’s financial future, being forward-thinking in the optimization of our financial systems to align with the strategic vision of our organization.
We need an experienced accounting leader with:- 5-8 year’s experience as a Controller managing the full accounting cycle and financial reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting
- Advanced Excel skills with Salesforce and Financial force experience highly valued
- Deep expertise in GAAP standards, tax and regulatory compliance, and financial controls
- Leadership abilities - can develop a best-in-class accounting team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive company results
- Passion for streamlining processes and enhancing reporting
Who can perform these key responsibilities:- Direct and manage the accounting team in executing the full accounting cycle and producing timely and accurate financial reports.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Have a high-level understanding of managerial accounting, breaking down profit and loss centers to the structure of the company as evidenced by monthly reconciliation of actual expenses to budget expenses.
- Collaborate closely with the CFO to develop and execute financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparations.
- Streamline processes and systems to enhance reporting capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive company-wide results and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Position Location and expected hours of work:
This is a full-time on-site position that will be expected to be located in the West Palm Beach, FL area or Blairsville, PA area and able to work from an office in West Palm Beach or Blairsville. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST). There may be times when evening/weekend work is necessary to meet the needs of the business.
