    Cresthaven Academy Charter School opened in August 2016 with 75 kindergarten scholars, and we will continue to add a grade each academic year until we are a K-8 school. All Cresthaven Academy scholars will receive access to the best educators and resources, serving to actualize each child’s potential and setting them on the path to college.

     

    Cresthaven Academy Charter School is supported by Cresthaven Academy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Foundation exists to support the school and teaching staff in all things outside of classroom instruction, reducing the risk of burnout and raising academic standards by allowing educators to focus on their scholars. Together we will incorporate comprehensive support for scholars and families into the education model, including an afterschool program and Saturday Academy, in order to inspire excellence in character, identity, and academics in each child.


    Cresthaven Academy is focused on supporting excellent teaching that closes the achievement gap.     Cresthaven Academy Charter School seeks a Technology Specialist who is committed to supporting all students and employees in a K-6 environment with timely and knowledgeable support of software, hardware, networking, and other aspects of technology. We seek staff members who are committed to continuously improving teaching and learning through collaboration within the operations team.

     

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Install and configure computer systems and applications within the district
    • Maintain inventory of technology hardware, ensuring proper functionality, and all devices are set up properly for daily instructional use
    • Trouble-shooting technology issues in real-time for students and staff (e.g LCD Projectors, laptops, student-facing computers, tech accessories, etc.)
    • Supporting the use of instructional technology software programs (e.g. GoGuardian, Gsuite, i-Ready, School Website)
    • Supporting the administration of online assessments, including support of physical set-up, required documentation, and data support
    • Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardians in all public settings
    • Supporting the use of Technology for special events such as Parent Assemblies, Pep Rallies, and other events with specific A/V Requirements
    • Additional Special Projects as assigned by the Director of Technology
    • Additional Support for daily operation projects

     

    Qualifications:
    Our ideal Technology Specialist has:

    • A minimum of an Associates Degree in a STEAM-related field
    • Charter school experience is preferred, but not required
    • Ability to work independently with the guidance of the Director of Technology
    • Passion and sustained commitment to ensure that joyful, rigorous instruction is delivered to every scholar, every day.
    • An entrepreneurial spirit, be mission-aligned, and feel excited to be part of a Founding Team
    • Bilingual in both Spanish and English is preferred, but not required
