Position Description
The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in self-performing the development and programming of complex systems when given a broad outline of client functional requirements. The candidate must implement data storage, transformation, and integration strategies while creating user interfaces that are simple and effective in a production environment. The candidate must be comfortable working in an office environment and field environment. The position requires some travel, both domestic and international.
Duties & Responsibilities
· MES application programming, from modification to new, based on functional requirements and specifications
· HMI/SCADA programming from stand-alone to redundant distributed
· Lead system design and development for small projects
· Design solution stack and specify applications, including drawings
· Lead the development of system specifications and transactions based on client requirements
· Support the development of transaction narratives and data flow diagrams
· Develop and execute testing plans for user, factory, and site testing
· Specify and configure interface applications
· Commissioning of factory systems (some remote travel required)
· Prepare specifications for purchasing software and IT infrastructure
Experience:
· Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
· Range from Entry level to Mid level (DOE).
· Knowledge of computer/server configuration and networking
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Self-motivated, energetic individual with a can-do attitude
· Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with object-oriented programming and scripting languages
