Being an Instructional Technology Specialist may troubleshoot technical problems and train junior staff members. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Instructional Technology Specialist typically reports to a manager. The Instructional Technology Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Position Summary The Instructional Technology Coach (ITC) at Making Waves Academy (MWA) is a pivotal leadership role focused on technology integration, reporting to and collaborating closely with the Principal and Assistant Principals. They spearhead the continuous development of teachers' instructional practices, emphasizing the use of technology to foster innovation and academic excellence throughout the school. The ITC plays a key role in implementing and enhancing technology-driven instructional programs and practices while supporting the professional growth of faculty.
Working side by side with the Principal and Assistant Principals, the Instructional Technology Coach at MWA facilitates, monitors, and leads the continuous support of teachers in their development of instructional best practices. The ITC ensures that the entire teaching faculty receives coaching, support, and professional development opportunities to continually improve core instructional practices around technology. As an Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) member, the ITC contributes to building an achievement-focused culture and supporting faculty's professional growth across the school.
