- Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification
- A Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology (680 endorsement) is preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
Description:
Scarborough Middle School is seeking a dynamic teacher leader who will serve as a technology instructional coach to support the effective use of technology at Scarborough Middle School. SMS is looking for an experienced middle education teacher with technology integration experience, a technology endorsement, and outstanding credentials. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a collaborative professional environment.
Responsibilities may include:
Coordinating/articulating across curricula
Staying current in the field/best practices
Providing leadership across all content areas
Collaborating with other instructional coaches in planning and curriculum improvements
Data management, analysis, and action planning
Identifying/developing data sources
Providing professional development and classroom support
Providing consultations
Modeling lessons/instructional strategies
Providing student centered coaching cycles
Responding to help desk tickets in the use of software applications
Examples of Work:
Consult, model lessons, observe, mentor, and coach teachers
Provide leadership in the the effective use of instructional software across the content areas, staying current in the field and in best practices (i.e. curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development)
Support classrooms and classroom teachers as needed
Collaborate with other Instructional Coaches in curriculum and cross curriculum development and implementation
Requirements of Work:
Knowledge of instructional software applications across content areas, and best practices in instruction, assessment, and professional development
Collaborate with staff and with building and district leadership
Knowledge of leadership roles and responsibilities
Knowledge of teacher development and coaching practices
Ability to coordinate and lead meetings and workshops
Strong communication, collaboration, problem solving, and organization skills
Actively demonstrates continuous improvement, willingness to learn independently and collaboratively
