Instructor - Architecture teaches courses in the discipline area of architecture. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Architecture provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Architecture typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Our ideal candidate has strong design talents, proven leadership, refined technical abilities, and natural communication skills. We prefer candidates with several years of project management and commercial design experience, but we encourage those with less to apply if they feel capable of meeting our goals with added support as they grow into the role. Specific responsibilities include project management, schematics, design development, specifications, construction documentation and construction administration. Ability to coordinate and lead a production team is key to long-term success. Work may also include planning, feasibility studies, building assessments, BIM/Revit modeling, and LEED/Sustainable building design along with assisting the marketing department with proposal writing.
