Being an Instructor - Biology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Biology typically reports to a department head. QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Valid Michigan teaching certificate – High School Endorsements of Science (DA or DI).
B. Ability to relate positively with students, teachers and parents
C. Ability to work with other professionals in a collaborative manner
D. High level of interpersonal skills to communicate verbally and in writing
E. Proficiency in Google Environment
DUTIES:
A. Plan and deliver the Michigan Academic Standards using evidence-based instructional strategies
B. Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment
C. Possess a working knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies that align with the Michigan Academic Standards and can be used to monitor student achievement and growth
D. Work independently and cooperatively in all aspects of the job
E. Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
F. Experience with Google Classroom a plus
