Background

• Works under direct to general supervision of the Plant Manager and Area Managers in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards.
• Broad responsibility to provide process technology transfer support and technical leadership from Research and Development to all unit process operations of manufacturing.
• Overseas operations of routine to complex line operations of dry and liquid chemicals to produce high purity specialty minerals. The work process involves steps that are repetitive to unique in character, requiring careful adherence to well-established instructions usually provided in operations manuals, as well as independent discretion and judgment on higher level lines.

Tasks

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of chemical line operators to ensure that production schedules are met
• Oversee the mixing, blending, and packaging of chemicals in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner
• Train new chemical line operators on company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Monitor the performance of chemical line operators, provide feedback and coaching, and implement corrective action as needed
• Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that product quality meets customer specifications
• Manage inventory of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to ensure that production runs smoothly
• Maintain accurate and timely production records and reports
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations, and lead by example to promote a safe work environment
• Continuously seek process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Prioritize maintenance activities based on the company’s needs
• Coordinate with multiple departments to optimize production
• If needed, fill in on line operations

• Chemical mixing and blending production experience

Knowledge of:

• Theories, principles, methods and procedures of chemical engineering

• Able to push using upper extremities to press against with steady force
