Being an Instructor - Chemistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. We are looking for a physiology instructor for our evening/weekend massage program. We are looking for an individual who is educated in physiology and is fascinated by the science. Having some knowledge in massage therapy is a bonus, but not required.
Pay for in class work is $40/hour (3 hours/week) with an automatic 2hrs/week out of class work paid at $25/hour. Courses begin on May 15th, 2024 - August 28th, 2024, classes run 6:30pm - 9:30pm on Wednesdays and there is no class on July 3rd.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Physiology.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and learning.
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with other instructors and faculty members to enhance the curriculum and instructional strategies.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the relevant subject of Physiology.
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans.
- Proficiency in using technology tools for teaching and learning purposes.
- Strong problem-solving skills to assist students in understanding difficult concepts.
- Ability to calculate and analyze data related to the subjects being taught.
