CIVIL STAFF ENGINEER-ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
The City of Watertown is seeking a Civil Staff Engineer for the City of Watertown Engineering Division. This role is responsible for providing technical expertise in civil engineering, including design, project engineering, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position directly impacts the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our community, making it an integral part of our mission to provide for, protect, and serve the citizens and businesses of Watertown in an efficient, strategic, and measured manner.
Candidates will work under the direction of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer while performing assignments relating to the design and development of municipal projects. Assignments are broad in nature and afford the exercise of independent judgment in accomplishing program and effectiveness of operations.
Requirements: Graduation from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal engineering and work towards registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin and an equivalent combination of training and experience which would provide the following knowledge, skill and ability.
