Instructor - Communication jobs in Concord, NH

Job Duties:

1. Learns and understands all of the program curriculums at the HACTC
2. Assists program instructors in the development of their lesson plans and ensures that lesson plans are related to the program proficiencies
3. Works with instructors on integrating literacy skills into their programs
4. Teaches lessons on resumes, cover letters, interview skills, and nonverbal communication
5. Provide Professional Development for teachers and staff in regards to the teaching and assessment of communication skills
6. In collaboration with instructors, creates a Career Unit that every student completes at the HACTC. Assists instructors with the implementation of this career unit.
7. Serves as the point person for the Canvas Learning Management system: ensuring students are enrolled correctly, assisting with gradebook set up, assisting instructors with building courses in Canvas, and troubleshooting technical issues.
8. Assists program instructors with integrating appropriate technology into program curriculums, including introducing students to the Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sites, Gmail)
9. Helps to develop and maintain resources and systems with teachers as it pertains to the online portfolio system
10. Develops a timeline for the year of outcomes for the portfolio
11. Assists instructors and students with initial creation of the portfolio
12. Assists instructors and students throughout the year with adding content to the portfolio
13. Works with staff to incorporate Work Based Learning into their curriculums
14. Strives to be a visible presence in all programs
15. Creates, develops, and maintains strong curricular relationships with all sending schools In partnership with the Math Integrationist organizes and leads two meetings a year of the Curriculum Advisory Board
16. Provides resources and assists with the grading categories
17. Works as part of the Hazing, Harassment and Bullying team and Title IX team and investigates cases as needed
18. Assists in creating a strong social media presence for the HACTC
19. Serves as a member of the recruitment team and performs tasks as needed around recruitment, including leading 8th grade tours
20. Is a member of the Professional Development weekly team meeting and attends all other meetings as assigned by the Director
21. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director
