Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Communication provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Communication typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Position DescriptionLincoln Land Community College is looking for qualified part-time instructors to teach Public Speaking for both day and evening class at our main campus in Springfield and our locations in Taylorville, Litchfield, Jacksonville and Beardstown.
Position RequirementsApplicants must possess a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours of coursework in Communication. Prior teaching experience is preferred; experience in teaching a 100-level college course in public speaking a plus. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and drug-screen.
