    The College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University is looking for a new Academic Advising Manager within the Department of Communication and Journalism to lead and manage a team of dedicated academic advisors and to ensure that students receive comprehensive and effective academic guidance. We need you to bring your commitment to student success, your deep understanding of academic advising practices, and your ability to drive innovation in advising services to this team of dynamic advisors and higher education professionals.     Opportunities to Contribute:
    • Serve in a senior-level position for advising undergraduate students
    • Lead and manage a team of academic advisors, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
    • Establish and maintain advising policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of services
    • Serve as a resource for advisors and students on complex advising issues and academic policies
    • Build strong working relationships and a positive work environment
    • Be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team-oriented
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in applicable field
    • Five years of experience in academic advising
    A well-qualified candidate for any of these positions will also possess:
    • Master's degree or above in education, counseling, or general subject area of placement
    • Knowledge of spreadsheet and TAMU database applications
    • Provided leadership or supervisory services

    • Salary: $50,162-$64,480 per year
