About the Position
This is a 1.0 FTE continuing contract position for a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Family and Consumer Science Instructor at Mountlake Terrace High School. This position begins with the 2022-23 school year and involves teaching CTE Family Sociology, Child Development, and Chef School 3 classes at Mountlake Terrace High School.
NOTE: Per Governor Jay Inslee's proclamation on August 18, 2021, all school district employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption. All new hires will be required to provide verification of vaccination or be eligible for an exemption as a condition of employment.

Required Qualifications:
Successful applicants should possess or be able to obtain Career and Technical (CTE) certification in Family and Consumer Science Education for this assignment.

Salary:
2021-22 Salary Schedule range: $69,131.00 through $124,959.00 (2022-23 salary schedule yet to be finalized). Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

Benefits:
Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions. Eligibility for health insurance at the time of hire is determined by holding at least a .5 FTE continuing contract position, or being hired into a non-continuing position that is anticipated to reach 630 hours during the school year. Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by holding at least a .6 FTE contract (continuing or non-continuing). Exceptions may be made for certain job share and/or leave replacement situations.
