Being an Instructor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Reports to: Director of Technology
Primary Purpose:
Deliver timely and effective technology services to all campuses and administrative departments. Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and network and software applications throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Two years of technical school (preferred)
Technical degree or similar (preferred)
Technology Industry Certifications (preferred)
Clear and valid driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of computer workstation setup and imaging (identify requirement–i.e., Windows workstation).
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows 10, Chrome, Apple)
Knowledge of Chromebook and Apple devices including MDM software
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows maintenance
Knowledge of Group Policies
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) and Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware
Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals including printers and scanners
Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
