Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.   • The Alabama School of Mathematics and Science (ASMS), a public residential high school serving talented students from across the state, seeks a full-time instructor to teach a range of history and social science classes. We seek the best fit for our students and organization and see this as an opportunity. The position will teach highly motivated high school students in an advanced college prep program. The successful candidate will develop and implement an instruction program consistent with state guidelines but attentive to the needs of academically talented students. Courses at ASMS are taught at the college freshman or sophomore level or higher. The teaching load for this position will include a variety of history, social science, and cultural studies courses such as: World History, AP World History, and other courses, including advanced electives.
