Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Job Summary/Basic Function
    Instruct Upward Bound students in grades 9-11 during a five-week summer academic program in the subject of Science. Design and implement a curriculum which adheres to the Utah State SEEd and Next Generation Science standards and focuses specifically on the skills required to make students successful in high school, on the ACT, and in college. This will be an on-site teaching experience at the Weber State Ogden campus, 4-7 hours per day, 4 days per week, June 12 – July 14.

    Required Qualifications
    Completion of at least the sophomore year in a post-secondary institution with a major in a pertinent discipline or evidence of equivalent instructional knowledge and/or experience.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Experience and/or knowledge of the special problems of the minority, low income, first generation, and physically disabled students.

    Experience in tutoring, mentoring, and/or community service with high school level students.

    Seeking applicants with:
    B.A./B.S. in the pertinent discipline

    A graduate of TRiO program or experience in overcoming the challenges and/or circumstances similar to those of the target population.
