Instructor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Prefer experience working with disabled people.
3. Current Drivers License.
4. Ability to lift 25 lbs, bend and stoop repeatedly.
5. Average time spent standing 4 to 5 hours, time sitting 1 to 2 hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in formulation and revision of individual treatment and training programs.
2. Follow prescribed activities to meet individual goals and objectives. Record progress as required by governing agencies.
3. Maintain your presence in the training room at all times to insure that all clients have equal opportunity to succeed in their tasks. Advise Supervisor or ADC Coordinator prior to an emergency absence to insure continued coverage in the classroom.
4. Follow and provide daily and monthly progress reports. Maintain all required paper work including but not limited to daily work recaps and trial sheets.
5. Document and report to Supervisor any incidents or problems with behavior including client and staff interaction.
6. Instruct clients in importance of policies and regulations.
7. Share with Supervisor any useful information regarding clients gained from casual contact with parents. Any communications regarding the progress of a client should be discussed with the Program Director prior to discussing with the parent or guardian.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
