Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Coordinator. As an Insurance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and maintaining patient records. This position requires strong knowledge of medical coding, insurance verification, and office administration.
Duties:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and update patient information in electronic medical records
- Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or discrepancies
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide necessary documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper coding of medical procedures
