Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Virginia Veterinary Centers is looking for a LVT to join our Dental and Oral Surgery department. This position is very anesthesia centered. VVC has an anesthesiologist on staff to provide support to our LVTs and DVMs.

You would be a good fit for this position if you have:- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Organizational skills
- Proactive thinking and the right attitude are also a must
- Credentialed veterinary technician with strong technical skills (to include placing IV catheters, venipuncture, administering premedication, anesthesia induction & monitoring, patient preparation, dental prophylactics, radiographs, etc.)
- Veterinary Technician Licensed (required)
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Proven ability to multi-task in a busy work setting
- Strong sense of compassion and empathy for our patients and clients
- Strong anesthesia skills
