Correctional medicine is a challenging and exciting opportunity for today’s dental professional, allowing you to truly utilize all your learned skills and knowledge. It is the perfect hybrid of Outpatient and Urgent/Emergency Dentistry, serving an underserved and extremely diverse patient population.

We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Dentist to join our team at the Wayne County Jail in Lyons, NY.

This position only requires up to 2 hours of on-site dental care weekly or 4 hours bi-weekly! Flexible schedule Monday - Friday, during normal business hours.

• Hourly compensation is negotiable and commensurate based on experience, hourly range $80.00 - $120.00.
• Company paid malpractice liability insurance (including tail) is provided, &
• Part-Time PTO & Sick Leave package included.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Medicine.
• Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of New York.
• Maintain a current DEA number & ability to prescribe medications in New York.
• Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to develop a trusting relationship with patients/inmates.
• Ability to monitor, observe and document patients.
