Complete Dental Staffing is working with an office in Chatahoochee, FL who is seeking a full-time Locum Tenens Dentist to cover a dentist that is on military assisgnment starting in August for a 3 month assignment.  

Patients are residents of the state-run mental health facility and have various levels of “functionality.”  They will be accompanied by security/support personnel when they visit.

Patients are mostly 18 and up.  Occasionally they will have someone a bit younger who has been classified as an adult in a court of law.

Generally, about 20 patients are scheduled in a day but the doctor usually sees 8 to 13.  Patients can refuse treatment.

Job responsibilities to include exams, xrays, restorative, extractions, dentures and possibly anterior root canal but is not likely.  

This position will have the following support: EFDA, RDH, Security Escort.  EFDAs have significant experience.  Two have more than 20 years.  One other dentist is on staff.  Focuses largely on forensic dentistry.

The facility is fully digital, panorex, 2 opps, RDH works out of their own.

Hours:  Monday to Friday 8 to 5; on call after hours on an every-other-week rotation (Two DDS in rotation.)

Compensation:

Clinical:  $95 - $125/hour

On call (phone):  Usually about 25% of hourly rate.  $20 to $30 per hour (Paid for all the hours they are on call whether the phone rings or not.

Housing is provided for the entirety of the assignment.  No check-in and out.  650 acre campus.  Housing units as available.  Some are single-family homes others are apartments.  All are furnished with necessities.  Full kitchen and washer/drier.  Family and pets are welcome to join.  Firearms are permitted in residential areas but not at work or in cars.
