Salary: $16.00 per class 

Part-time Non-benefited

Oversee essential duties related to instructing fitness classes, to include, but not limited to, developing classes, scheduling space, demonstrating and teaching correct form. Ensure the safety of the participants. Maintain a clean and safe environment. Understand and enforce all rules and regulations of the facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrate considerable knowledge of the skills, techniques and methods appropriate to a fitness instructor position.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest and past experience as a fitness instructor.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, staff, participants, and the general public.
• Ability to create and maintain enthusiasm among participants.
• Work well under general supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable.
• Good organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to instructing fitness classes.
• First aid, CPR and any OSHA certification or willingness to be trained before beginning work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Fitness Instructor Certification
