Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Economics typically reports to a department head.     Please Note:

    This job announcement is not an offer of employment. This requisition has been established to collect a robust candidate pool for part-time positions that may become available within the designated discipline at CSN. If a part-time position becomes available within the discipline, the hiring department will review the application material of the candidates who have applied and will invite select candidates to interview based on their qualifications. Should a candidate be selected for a part-time instructor position, no minimum course load is guaranteed and teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, minimum student enrollment and/or department need. No reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided to local or out of area/out of state candidates and there is no guarantee of continued or future part-time and/or full-time employment.

    Core Responsibilities:

    CSN is looking to hire part-time instructors to teach Economics courses. Job responsibilities also include developing syllabi and course materials as well as evaluation of mastery of skills and competencies as required by course outcomes. Successful candidates are expected to provide an excellent teaching experience, engage in student advisement and participate in assessment of general education, program and course outcomes.

    This position will be paid $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.

    To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Master's degree in Economics (Ph.D. preferred) from a regionally accredited college or university.
