Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Economics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Economics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Major Responsibilities
- Teach and assess learning in face-to-face undergraduate courses in management, marketing, and entrepreneurship. The teaching load is 4 courses per semester as assigned by the department chair.
- Maintain a minimum of five office hours per week and a routine presence on campus.
- Maintain correspondence with the department chair and administrative assistant.
- Work with department faculty to ensure continuity of content in courses.
- Participate in faculty meetings as needed.
Functional and Supervisory Relationships- Reports to the academic department chair
Required Qualifications- M.B.A. or other Master’s degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications- College teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Relevant work experience in management and/or entrepreneurship
