The School District of Arcadia is accepting applications for a full-time Agriculture and/or Technology Education teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Applicants must have or be working toward their Agriculture and/or Technology Education DPI licensure. Applicants with ample work-related experiences who are looking for a career change will be considered and the District would assist with the process of an alternative pathway to licensure. The successful, student-centered candidate will be responsible for teaching high agriculture classes and/or technology education courses classes which could include but are not limited to Intro to Food Science, Intro to Animal Care, Welding, Intro to Construction, Robotics, and Manufacturing. Courses taught could be altered within the departments depending on the strengths of the successful candidate. She or he will balance the high expectations of a standards-based curriculum, an all-means-all focus, and an engaging delivery that ignites student creativity and learning. We seek a teacher who will create a family-like atmosphere where positive student relationships and professional performance meet. Collaboration with other teachers in the CTE department and our four-school co-op is an expectation. Athletic coaching and extracurricular advising opportunities may also be available. Applicants must have proper DPI certification (or evidence of working toward certification), submit a Letter of Interest, three Letters of Recommendation, Current References, and a Copy of Transcripts via WECAN.
