Foreign Language Instructor
Forest Area Community Schools is seeking a part-time teacher to teach a
foreign language to high school students. Applicants should be highly
qualified in the state of Michigan to teach a foreign language. Spanish is preferred, but other
languages will be considered. The ability and desire to teach other content areas or grade
levels could expand this position to full-time.
Qualifications:
? Valid Michigan teaching certificate
? Prior school experience preferred
? Have the ability to relate positively with students, teachers, and parents
? Have the ability to work with other professionals in a collaborative manner
? High-quality communication skills
? Experience in trauma-informed education and/or restorative practices
Responsibilities:
? Teach engaging, standards-based lessons in a classroom setting to students of various
ability levels
? Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders, including students, parents,
itinerant staff, administrators, and staff members
? Maintain accurate and timely records, including lesson planning, grading, and other
professional communication
? Participate in district-provided professional development
Compensation:
According to the negotiated contract with the Forest Area Education Association
