Instructor - Education teaches courses in the discipline area of education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Education typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instructing weekly sports camps in Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, or General Sports
- Teaching a skill-building curriculum for your camp so campers improve and can scrimmage throughout the week
- Instructing private lessons on an as-needed basis
- Attending daily staff meetings, assisting with sign-in and pick-up, and following all policies and procedures
- Being a role model for campers and staff, and arriving every day with an inclusive, professional, upbeat, and positive attitude
QUALIFICATIONS
- Varsity and/or collegiate playing experience in at least one sport
- Experience working with children
- Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook
- Deep appreciation for teamwork and drive to be part of a high-level team
- Required clearances, or ability to obtain them prior to start date. Lavner Education will reimburse employees for the costs of clearances if they need to be obtained
